Big Bend Travel Tips: What to Know Before You Go

In April, my husband and I traveled to Big Bend National Park and since going, we’ve been talking about making it an annual thing. There’s loads to do and today I’m sharing Big Bend travel tips. There’s a few things you definitely need to know before you go. Big Bend Travel Tips It’s Very Popular The first thing you need to know about Big Bend is that it is very popular and not just with Americans. This means it could be crowded when you go and if you want to stay inn the one hotel there, you’ll need to book it about a year in advance. However, you wouldn’t know it by how secluded you can feel on the hikes.

The Sahara Desert Travel: 9 Things to Know to Make Your Trip a Breeze

I recently returned from a trip to Morocco and during that time took a tour out to the Sahara Desert. I loved it but there were definitely a few things I wish I had known about before hand. So today I’m sharing 9 things you need to know before you go to the Sahara Desert. Traveling to the Sahara Desert 1. It’s Far… From Everything Probably the first and foremost thing you need to understand is that the Sahara Desert is far from every town. We went from Marrakech and it was a 11 hour car ride (with stops) back on the last day. This shouldn’t deter you from going, but plan accordingly. However, it being far from everything is

Tennessee Travel: Why It’s the Perfect Destination for Everyone

Tennessee Travel During our recent trip to Tennessee we started in Nashville and ended in the Smoky Mountains. One thing I realized about Tennessee travel is that there is a wide variety of things to do. We took in the music scene, ate way too much, wine-tasted, hiked, and so much more. There are heaps of posts out there about the food, music, art and more about Nashville. Therefore, when I was thinking about what I’d share with all of you lovely people, I realized I wanted to show all the ways that Tennessee is perfect for everyone. Perfect For Everyone Tennessee travel has something for everyone. Maybe you’ve never traveled to Nashville because you’re not into country music, but

The Best Day Trip from Venice You’re Not Taking (but should be!)

The Best Day Trip from Venice The best day trip from Venice may surprise you. It has nothing to do with coastal views, the ocean, or boats. Instead, it’s all about the mountains and it may also surprise you as to how close you are to those mountains. From Venice, you can take an easy day trip to the Dolomite mountains and they are gorgeous. You’ll be right on the border of Switzerland and you’ll get a taste of those Swiss Alps. It’s amazing because you get away from the hustle and bustle of Venice to visit the serene outdoors. The air is cleaner, the crowds disperse and you’re left with gorgeous scenery. If you’ve got the time, I highly

Planning a Greek Islands Vacation: Why Mykonos is Just as Lovely as Santorini

If you’ve ever planned or thought of planning a Greek Islands vacation then this post is definitely for you. We just spent a week in Greece and loved every minute of it. It was a quick trip so we only saw Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. Santorini was beyond gorgeous as expected, however, each one was perfect in its own way. The most surprising was Mykonos which is why I’m posting about it today. I don’t think it gets enough love and is known too much as a party island. My husband and I go to bed at 9 o’clock and we don’t do clubs but we still loved Mykonos.   Therefore, here’s 7 reasons it should be on everyone’s list,

When to Visit the Australian Outback + 10 Experiences Not to Miss

The Australian Outback is a huge part of the country. However, a lot people go to Australia and never see it. In reality, if you want to see the real Australia, then step away from the edges. Y es, the coast is gorgeous, yes the reef is amazing, yes the cities are lively, but the outback is where it gets interesting. The heart of the Australian Outback is Uluru: the largest single rock formation in the world. There’s more than just a giant rock in this area. Called “the red center”, you’ve got canyons, gorges, camels, all near the giant rock that is Uluru. Alice Springs to Adelaide The first time I experienced the outback of Australia was on a

The Best Reasons to Put Jamaica on Your Bucket List

A friend and I recently took a girls trip to Jamaica. We stayed in an all-inclusive resort, booked a couple of tours, and basked in the sun. It was lovely. I’ve never done an all-inclusive resort before because it’s really not how I like to travel. I’m usually the one that wants to get the full cultural experience, save money, and sleep wherever. However, I definitely think if you want to do the resort thing, this is the place for it. Everyone at the resort was Jamaican and like I said we went on a couple of tours to get us out of the resort. We stayed at the Jewel Grande and it was fantastic. They also had great food

Best Australian Beaches and How to Visit Each One

Australian beaches were the fifth part of our 45 days around Australia.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read about the whole trip here. Part one was spent in Adelaide and Surrounds, part two in Perth and Surrounds, part three in Exmouth, Karijini, and Broome, part four in Broome to Darwin. Finally, we are on the last part of our trip. This part of the trip involved us revisiting our favorite beaches/islands, as well as hitting one new one.  To start, we hit up Moreton Island off of Brisbane. Next, we returned to Byron Bay and Noosa, which we loved during our first visit.  For that part of the trip, we did the Juicy camper van. To finish off, we returned to the Whitsundays; the Whitsundays have the best beaches in
