I love a good list of any kind and what’s even better is a travel themed list. My husband and I want to see the entire world, and while that clearly not possible, checking off all the states in the US, all the National Parks, and all the iconic spots in the world is do-able, and a fun way to track your travel.
This is made even more fun when I get to add a sticker to a water bottle or a photo to an album. I get to check-off a place and keep a memory from it. That’s why I’ve rounded up some of my favorite products to track your travels.

After decades of traveling, there’s 3 companies I tend to use over and over and recommend to everyone:

Products to Track Your Travel Bucket Lists
Scratch-off Maps
An oldie but a goodie, scratch-off maps are both fun and they make for cute home decor.
Where to find them: I love these by Waypoint Wanders. They have world maps, national parks, states, landmarks, and more. Plus they are so cute.
Photo Map
This is a personal favorite of mine, considering I’m a photographer. You can find digital ones, make your own, or do what I did and use a map you already have. I use an old puzzle to mark off all our state travels and keep it in a shadow box. I attach a photo of us in the state to the state when we return from our trip.
Where to find them: This USA one by Thunder Bunny Labs is super cute. Find world maps here if that’s more what you’re looking for.
Scrapbook
Another favorite of mine is simply a scrapbook but with a little twist. I’ve become a big fan of stickers. so I add these from the trip to the scrapbook. I also love buying from other artists so for our National Park Scrapbook I have an artist’s postcard on one side and photos with stickers on the other side.
Where to find them: I love these scrapbooking kits by Crop-A-Latte. If pre-made books are more your style, check out these by Pixory.
Key Chain Tokens
If you’re into keeping things minimal, these are a good choice. I’m not much of a minimalist but these are cute and a great way to track your travels.
Where to find them: Vagabond Life has cute tokens as well as Traveller Collector.
Pin Globe
A push pin globe is a super cute way to track your travels. You could even use one color of pins for places you want to go and then change them to another color when you’ve done it!
Where to find them: These handmade globes by Wendy Gold Studios are amazingly beautiful.
Travel Journal
This might seem like the same thing as the scrapbook but it’s not. What I’m suggesting here is that you get an empty journal (even better if it has travel themed photos on the front) and add your bucket list to the pages. When you complete them, add photos from that trip. Even better, add photos, info, and stickers from your trip.
Where to find them: Shop our travel journals here which feature photography from around the world.

Shop our collection of journals and notebooks.
Water Bottles
Finally, water bottles are a fun way to track your travels. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I’ve linked them below. My husband and I officially have the national parks, world, states, and baseball fields. They are great bottles.
Where to find them: These from Earth Wild are great.
Why Track Your Travel
There’s a lot of opinions in the travel world about why you shouldn’t track your travels. That it’s not about how many places you go or how often you get to go and I can see that, but also, don’t pee on other people’s dreams. I definitely think using photos to track your travels I a great way to do it. Printing your photos is also really important.
So while I understand there’s no need to brag on social media about how many places you’ve gone, it’s great, meaningful, and important to track your travels for YOU.
