I was recently on a flight where I sat next to two Aussies. Now, I love Australians so I had to start chatting with them. They were shocked to learn I had lived in Australia and that yes, I had been to Perth (where they were from) and all over Western Australia (it’s actually my favorite part of Oz). It’s not that common to find people who travel a lot in the states. They were so lovely we chatted the whole flight and they asked me why people from the states don’t travel more. I’ve never wondered why traveling is important until 2020. In early 2020, I looked at my husband told him I wanted to do a solo backpacking hike. That for my birthday I wanted to get a backpack and start training and planning for it. See, I felt I just needed to get away from people. I needed to clear my head and just be by myself. Well, we all know what happened in 2020. A pandemic in case you didn’t know. 😉 Which meant, I was alone (alone with my husband) and had plenty of time to clear my head. So that backpacking trip didn’t happen. In fact, very few trips happened in 2020. We road tripped to a couple
